Continuing Education Programs
C.H.I. Overhead Doors, Inc. is committed to the development
and exchange of information and learning topics by offering
online continuing education opportunities to the architectural
community.
Our two classes, "Specifying Rolling Steel Fire Doors" and
"Residential Garages and Overhead Doors" are each
approved AIA/CES courses offered to you at no cost. Credit earned upon completion of
a class will be automatically reported to CES Records for AIA members.
Course Formats: These are structured, web-based, self study
courses with final exams.

Completion Certificate from CHIOHD: A copy is sent to you by email or
you can print one upon successful completion of a course with

Course Description:
Upon completion of this course, you will have a better understanding
of the fundamental aspects of Rolling Steel Fire Doors addressing NFPA 80 mandates,
listing and labeling definitions, approved manufacturing and installation standards,
approved fire wall construction details, and various code and regulatory bodies.

Course Title: Residential Garages and Overhead Doors

Objective:
To understand the history and evolution of the residential garage as a design
element of the home. The class will address solutions to design planning and renovation
projects. It will discuss a variety of residential overhead garage door types and their
construction.
