This 4-day course includes the same product knowledge and Anatomy of Rolling Service & Fire Doors included in the 2-300 and 2-400 courses.
This course incorporates review and discussion of the IDEA study guide modules including history of fire doors, organizations & certifications, common terminology, release devices, operation and burn tests.
Training will be divided between classroom and the Tech Center. Students will install a fire door (chain hoist with Simple Test & motor operation) and a fire shutter with tension-loss. Common service issues with rolling and fire doors as well as drop testing will be reviewed. Included in this course is a C.H.I. plant tour. The class concludes with a plan tour, final review and IDEA Fire Door Technical Certification examination.
Recommended for: Installers with 2 years rolling steel installation experience or completion of Rolling 2-300.
