This 3-day course includes the same C.H.I. product knowledge and Anatomy of Commercial Sectional doors included in the Commercial 2-200 and 2-210 courses.
Additionally the course incorporates review and discussion of the IDEA curriculum for Certification including: Understanding Codes and Standards, Materials and Finishes, Product Components, Installing a Commercial Sectional Door, Methods of Operation and Importance of Safety.
In the Tech Center, students will install commercial doors (normal headroom and high lift mounting options) with focus on best practice installation and safety techniques.
Additionally, students will learn about the other various mounting, track, and special options that are available with commercial sectional product. Students will be trained to effectively address common service issues with commercial doors and openers. Class concludes with a plant tour, final review and IDEA Commercial Sectional Door Systems Technician Certification examination.
Recommended for: Installers with 2+ years of experience or completion of Commercial Sectional 2-220 & 2-210.
